LUTHER G. STANFORD

Luther G. Stanford of the 6300 block of Glenoak Drive died Dec. 31, 1996, in his residence.

A Baltimore native, Mr. Stanford was a retired aircraft mechanic at Norfolk Naval Air Station with more than 30 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Adlean Stanford; three daughters, Wynetta Jones of Norfolk, Loretta Harrison and Lynnetta Williams of San Diego; five sons, Luther, Bernard, and Charles Stanford, Maurice and Vincent Thomas, all of Norfolk; 11 grandchildren; a devoted friend, Carletta James; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Hale Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. A wake service will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. The family and friends will assemble at the residence at 11 a.m. Saturday for the procession to the funeral.
