Miriam Hunter Turner (nee Paul) died Friday, Jan. 3, 1997, in Deborah Heart Lung Center, Browns Mills, N.J. She was 81.
Mrs. Turner was born in Philadelphia. She was a resident of Cape Charles, Medford Lakes, N.J., and Haddonfield, N.J., before moving to Leisuretown in Southampton.
Mrs. Turner was a member of Haddon Fortnightly Woman's Club of Haddonfield, Cape Charles Historical Society, Order of the Eastern Star No. 2, Cape Charles, She donated to the Smithsonian Institution of Washington, D.C. She was a volunteer for Northampton Accomac Hospital for more than 20 years and volunteered for Cooper Hospital for many years.
She is the beloved wife of the late Earle W. Hunter; mother of Wayne R. Hunter Sr. of Medford, N.J., and Earle R. Hunter of Huntington, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; sister of Arthur G. Paul of Ephrata, Pa.; dearest aunt of Cynthia Baker of Towson, Md.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Lechner Funeral Home, Medford. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, N.J. Relatives and friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
