William Calvin Pallett, 91, died Jan. 3, 1997, in a local nursing home.
Mr. Pallett was born in Old Princess Anne County, Va., and was retired from Norfolk and Western Railroad after 34 1/2 years. He was also retired from the City of Norfolk after 7 1/2 years. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and was a member of Wesleymen. He was also a 50-year member of Charity Lodge (NU)10 of Knights of Pythias.
Survivors include two nieces, Catherine Pasag and Laura Lee Ward, both of Virginia Beach; two grandnieces, Sarah Solano Clements of Chesapeake and Chessie Mae Pasalgon of Norfolk; two nephews, John Stephens of Kansas City, Mo., and Steven Caseria of Virginia Beach.
The funeral will be conducted Monday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. Roy P. White and Judge Hal J. Bonney at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Sunday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The family will be at 5136 Eagle Run Road, Virginia Beach.
