Gloria Riddick Rountree, 43, of Route 2, died Jan. 3, 1997, in her home.
Mrs. Rountree was a native of Gates County. She was the office manager of W.M. Anderson & Larry Chavis Bonding Company in Suffolk for 25 years. She was a member and Sunday School teacher at Damascus Christian Church in Sunbury and was formerly on the Board of Directors for Ridgecroft School in Ahoskie.
Surviving are her husband, Kenny Rountree, a daughter, Julie Rountree; and a son, Ken P. Rountree, all of the home; her parents, Paige and Hope Outland Riddick of Gates; a sister, Kathy Burns of Apex, N.C.; and a brother, Marty Riddick of Gates.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Damascus Christian Church by the Rev. Riddick Pearce and the Rev. Billy Presley. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, and other times at the home of her parents at Rt. 2, Gates.
Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of Damascus Christian Church.
