TRACTOR-TRAILER OVERTURNS NEAR COLUMBIA

Jason Barnes, left, pushes Grayson Barnes, 37, toward an overtuned

tractor-trailer on U.S. 64 six miles east of Columbia Friday. The

driver, Glenn Hayes, 48, of Columbia said the tractor-trailer went

out of control while he was attempting to pass another vehicle and

overturned in a canal. Hayes crawled out the passenger window of the

submerged cab. ``I prayed that there was air above me,'' Hayes said.
