ROSA L. MARCUS

Rosa Lee Marcus, of the 800 block of Tidewater Drive, died Jan. 2, 1997, in her residence.

A retired domestic worker, Mrs. Marcus was a native of Lamar, S.C., and the widow of Hammie T. Marcus. She was a member of Greater Metropolitan AME Church and the stewardess and deaconess boards.

Survivors include her four daughters, Ophelia Marcus, Rosa Bell Marcus, Maggie Allen and Louise Taylor, all of Norfolk; two sons, Clarence Sansbury and Willie Marcus, both of Norfolk; two sisters, Azalee McLain and Lois Douglas, both of Norfolk; brother, Ray Sansbury of Wilmington, N.C.; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in Greater Metropolitan AMEZ Church by the Rev. G. Bernard Crawford. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may join the family at the residence. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. There will be a wake service from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday in Graves Funeral Home Chapel. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
