PERCY P. HYMAN

Percy Palmer ``Aunt Yiddy'' Hyman, 90, of the 1000 block of Mapole Ave., died peacefully Monday, Dec. 30, 1996, in Lafayette Villa Nursing Home.

She was born in Norfolk, Va., to the late William and Percy Palmer and was a member of Mason Memorial Church of God in Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Hyman and brother, S. Taft Palmer Sr.

Mrs. Hyman is survived by her most loving, caring and devoted niece, Alice Palmer Mitchell of Norfolk; other nieces, Ernestine P. Reid of Virginia Beach, Carolyn P. Harrell and Cynthia P. Simpkins, both of Norfolk, Marie P. Evans and Vera P. Moore of Philadelphia; nephews, Mark H. Palmer of Virginia Beach, S. Taft Palmer Jr., William Palmer and Robert O. Palmer, all of Philadelphia; sister-in-law, Virginia Palmer Watford of Norfolk; great nieces and great nephews; and a host of friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at Mason Memorial Church of God in Christ, 744 Goff St., by the Rev. David Williams. Graves Funeral Home is officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The funeral procession will leave from Graves Funeral Home to the church. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
