Lena Robena Saloum, 82, of the 3400 block of Nelson St. died Jan. 3, 1997, in a local hospital.
She was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church and a native of Fox Creek, Va.
Survivors include her husband, Zoltan Saloum; two daughters, Deanna Bazemore of Suffolk and Darlene Patterson of Chesapeake; son, Victor Saloum of Chesapeake; three sisters, Ethel Farmer of Independence, Va., Mary Roberts of Elk Creek, Va., and June Crutcher of Portsmouth; brother, J.C. Phipps of Elkton, Ky.; five grandchildren, April Contestable, Crystal Bazemore, Anita Kelly, Harry Patterson Jr. and Holly Patterson.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Terry Riddle. The family will be in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, from 4 to 5 p.m. today. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
