VINCENT W. SHIELDS SR.

Vincent Warren Shields Sr., of the 2700 block of Omohundro Ave., died Jan. 2, 1997, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

A retired employee of Sheller Globe Mitchell Smith, Mr. Shields was a Norfolk native and a member of United House of Prayer for All People No. 1. He was also a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Serena Shields; daughter, Clara Ferebee of Norfolk; son, Theodore of Norfolk; sister, Alma Davis of Long Island City, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by Apostle William R. Scott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. Monday. The family will assemble at the residence at 11 a.m. for the processional.
