Crenolia White Pierce, 85, of Route 1 died Saturday, Jan. 4, 1997, in Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City.
Mrs. Pierce was born in Gates County. The daughter of the late Loranzy and Mrs. Penelope White, she retired from Planter's Peanuts, Suffolk, and was a member of Damascus Christian Church. She was the wife of the late Andrew H. Pierce.
Surviving are a son, Larry B. White Sr. and his wife, Doris, of Sunbury; a sister, Sybyl W. Bunch of Chesapeake; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Damascus Christian Church by the Rev. Riddick Pearce. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday in Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, and at other times in the residence.
