Hugh Williams Branch passed away Friday, Jan. 3, 1997, after a long illness.
He was born Aug. 10, 1918, in Norfolk. A graduate of the University of Virginia, he worked as an industrial development consultant in Virginia and North Carolina until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Branch; his daughter, Constance Martin; his son, Harry T. Branch; his brother, John Taylor Branch Jr.; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, with the Rev. Robert F. Pitman officiating.
