DELORES W. BASZKOWSKI

Delores ``Dee'' Baszkowski of the 4700 block of Kempsville Green Parkway passed away Jan. 4, 1997, after a short battle with cancer.

Dee was a 1943 graduate of Churchland High School. She was a former long-term substitute teacher for the Virginia Beach School Board for 16 years. She also served as president of Woodstock Elementary School PTA. In addition, she was past president of the Mary Calcott Woman's Club. Up until the time of her sickness, she had been employed with the Haygood Management Corp. for 15 years.

Dee leaves behind a family and friends who will dearly miss her. Survivors include her husband of 11 years, Sigmond Baszkowski; two daughters, Deborah W. Vincent and her husband, Mike, and Rita Kyle Hooper and her husband, Tony; four grandchildren, Hunter Lee Hooper, Launa Lael Hooper, Clayton Baker Vincent and Michael Williams Vincent; three sisters, Betty Black and Billi Williams, both of Columbus, Ohio, and Rose Ann Ambrose of Naples, Fla.; two stepsons, Rick Baszkowski of Sea Bright, N.J., Russell Baszkowski of Chesapeake; and stepdaughter, Shelley Baszkowski of Levittown, Pa.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Norfolk. The family will be in the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to At Home Care Hospice, 3386 Holland Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23452.
