Joseph K. Berenguer, 83, died Jan. 5, 1997, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Berenguer was born in the Philippines and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He retired as a mechanic from Cavalier Ford after 25 years.
Survivors include his wife, Arleigh Berenguer; two daughters, Joi Berenguer and Babette Wallace, both of Virginia Beach; two sons, Thomas J. Berenguer, M.D., of Norfolk and James Berenguer of Chesapeake; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association - Hampton Roads Chapter, 20 Koger Executive Center, Norfolk, Va. 23502.
