Elizabeth Ella Hooker of the 8000 block of Kirby Haigh Circle, died Jan. 4, 1997, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
A native of Trenton, N.J., she was a member of Rock Church and was president and CEO of the Dan Hooker Exterminating Company. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel A. Hooker.
Survivors include a son, Robert F. Hooker of Leesville, La.; stepdaughter, Ann Hammond of Washington, D.C.; and six grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bethel Baptist Church in Bethel, N.C., by the Rev. Rusty Morrison. Burial will follow in Bethel City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Walker Funeral Home - Ayres Chapel in Bethel. A memorial service will be held at a later date in the Norfolk area.
