JOHN B. LOWMAN

John Bernard Lowman, 49, of Tulls Bay Colony, died at his residence on Jan. 4, 1997.

Born in Athens, Ga., he was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the Marine Corps. He was a member of Charity United Methodist Church.

Mr. Lowman was the son of Theodore Roosevelt Lowman of Virginia Beach and the late Jeanne Teresa Lowman. He is also survived by a son, Joseph M. Lowman of Pensacola, Fla.; and a sister, Monique Lowman of Gibbs Woods.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Twiford's Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake, with the Rev. Bill Mahon officiating. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Veterans Association, AM-Vets, V.A. Medical Center Building 69, Room 114-D, Hampton, Va. 23667, 722-9961, ext. 2458.
