HELEN L. AULICK

Helen Lucille (Elliott) Aulick died Sunday, Jan. 5, 1997.

Born Dec. 5, 1923, in Hardesty, Okla., she graduated from Garber High School in 1942. During World War II, she was ``Rosy the Riveter,'' making Douglas C47/DC3 aircraft. Being raised on a farm, Helen liked to work in soil and was an excellent landscaper. She married Donald (Sam) Aulick in July of 1944. This marriage thrived for 52 years, producing daughter Hannelore and son Byron. Helen was also an outstanding homemaker, having moved 33 times with Sam, who served 26 years in the Navy. They recently moved back to Virginia from Highland Haven, Texas.

Helen is survived by Sam; three sisters, Velma, Nina and Marjorie; and two brothers, Cecil and Alvin. As a grandmother, she was especially proud of her grandsons, Timothy, Joshua, Christopher, Joseph, Brett, Frankie, JJ; her grandnephews, John, David, Daniel; and her grandniece, Lindsay; plus a host of other nieces and nephews. She is surely missed but through our faith, we will see her again.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23513.
