Clifton Spath, 75, of the 3400 block of Windemere Court, died Jan. 6, 1997, in Obici Hospital
Born in Baltimore, Md., he was the widower of Pauline Ciccarelli Spath and the son of the late Gustave and Mary Berg Gottlieb. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a plasterer in the commercial construction industry. Mr. Spath was a Baptist.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Lynn S. and John Faunce of Suffolk, Paula Marie S. and Kenneth Ruggles of Levels, W.Va.; a sister, Margaret Mullaney of Belair, Md.; brothers, Arthur Spath and Charles Spath of Baltimore, Md.; grandchildren, Craig, Keaith, Rachael, Stephen Faunce and Shawn, Shane, Holly and Shannon Ruggles.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Western Branch Baptist Church by the Rev. David M. Jendrey. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family in Harrell Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and other times in the residence. Memorial donations may be made to the Obici Hospital Indigent Medication Fund, P.O. Box 1100, Suffolk, Va. 23439.
