There has been a great deal of media coverage of the proposed light-rail study.
The ideal routes are the current HOV lanes. This eliminates additional cost for purchasing rights of way. It also provides a direct route to the Naval Base, airport and Chesapeake's Greenbrier and Battlefied areas. It eliminates crossing major arteries.
Stops or stations should be located between major intersections, for example Independence Boulevard and Rosemont Road. This gives access to other major routes.
HOV lanes currently have limited use and are basically a waste. Let's use what we already have.
