Carrie Etta Scott, 90, a lifelong resident of Princess Anne County and a Kempsville resident since 1939, died Jan. 6, 1997, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Scott was born Oct. 17, 1906, and was employed for 15 years by Practical Care. She was a native of Great Bridge, Va., and the widow of Norman P. Scott Sr. She was a member of Kempsville Baptist Church for more than 60 years.
Survivors include her three daughters, Shirley Radcliffe and her husband, Robert E. Radcliffe, Barbara Ann Gibson and Norman Jean Jordan, all of Virginia; two sons, Bobby Scott and wife, Barbara, Norman P. Scott Jr. and his wife, Cindy, all of Virginia; sister, Judy Oswald of Virginia; two step-sisters, Sadie King of Florida and Elizabeth Boggan of Florida; 16 grandchildren, Robert Radcliffe Jr., William Radcliffe, Deborah Mergi, Bobby Scott II, Christina Maria Jordan, Rob Jordan, John Jordan, Diana Jordan-Clukey, Danny Jordan, Jason Jordan, Billy Gibson, Timothy Gibson, Susan Scott-Byrne, Jeffrey Scott, Jeffery McLaughlin, Mellissa Scott; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, by Dr. Kelly J. Burris. Burial will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
