Lee A. Moone, 73, of the 2300 block of Lansing Ave. died Jan. 6, 1997, in Maryview Hospital.
A retired parts and tools attendant, Mr. Moone was a native of Norfolk County and a member of Consolidated Sportsman Club. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a former merchant seaman for 10 years.
Survivors include his wife, Reathella R. Moone; daughter, Dorothy A. White of Portsmouth; four sons, Coady Moone and Navy HM1 Keith Moone, both of Portsmouth, Marvin Moone of Hyattsville, Md., and Darryl Moone of Centerville, Va.; stepson, Warner Moone of Portsmouth; sister, Eurgetha M. Johnson of Portsmouth; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; an aunt, Calsie Moon of Portsmouth; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends, including a special friend, Marion Gardner.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, by the Rev. J.B. Sharp. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach, with full military and Masonic honors. Viewing at the funeral home will begin at noon today.
