Willis C. Raney, 77, of Mainlands, died Jan. 5, 1997, in a hospital in St. Petersburg.
Born in New Castle, Pa., he retired in 1978 as an assistant sales manager for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. after 30 years service. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pinellas Park, and past president and past secretary of the Pool Club and Men's Club of the Mainlands.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Margaret; two sons, Edward of Bowling Green, Ky., James of Virginia Beach; four sisters, Gene Chambers of Ellwood City, Pa., Mary Dillon of Bethel Park, Pa., Edna Shumate of Pinellas Park, Betty Taylor of Baton Rouge, La.; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Kent Raney.
Services are being held in Florida. Memorial Park Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
