MAY A. CRACE

May A. Crace, 60, died Wednesday Jan. 8, 1997, after a courageous battle withcancer.

She was a member of Aragona Church of Christ. She was also a Boy Scout volunteer for more than 28 years, having been awarded their highest honor, the Silver Beaver Award. She was a native of Jackson, Ohio, and was a 40-year resident of Virginia Beach.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Paul J. Crace; six children, Melanie Brooks and husband, Michael of Newport News, Malarie Malone and husband, Douglas, of Virginia Beach, James Crace and wife, Robbin, of Virginia Beach, Woodford Crace of Glen Burne, Md., William Paul Crace and David Crace of Virginia Beach; a brother, William Aldridge of Jackson, Ohio; three sisters, Edith Davis, Rose Fisher, Judy Smaczme of Chicago; seven grandchildren, James Michael Brooks, Megan Elizabeth Brooks of Newport News, Chawna Crace of Glen Burne, Robert Holmes-Crace, Kelly Halverson, Cody Hunter Crace and Galen D. Malone, all of Virginia Beach.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Maestas Funeral Home, Baltic Ave. Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk, by the Rev. William Campbell. Friends may join the family at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
