PEGGY A. MILES

Peggy Ann Miles of the 1000 block of Still Harbor Circle died unexpectedly Dec. 31, 1996, while visiting her sister, Jean M. Potter, and son, Harvey Potter, in Largo, Fla.

Miss Miles was a retired shipfitter for Norshipco, Norfolk, and was born in Mebane, N.C. She was a former Durham, N.C., resident. She had lived and worked in the Tidewater area for the past 40 years. Her parents, Glenn and Mary (McMillan) Miles, predeceased her.

Surviving are two aunts, Mrs. Effie Miles Kirk of Greensboro, N.C., and Mrs. Betsy Miles Swain of Durham, and numerous nieces and nephews in Florida, Oklahoma, Virginia, Texas and Michigan; sisters, Jean Potter of Largo and Linda Davis of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Glenn T. Miles Jr. of Virginia Beach and Elmer E. McCauley of Windsor, N.C.; and stepmother, Mrs. Hazeline B. Miles of Norfolk.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at McClure Funeral Home, Mebane.
