NORMAN T. MCCOY SR.

Norman T. ``Mac'' McCoy Sr., 73, of the 1500 block of Mount Pleasant Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1997, in his residence.

Mr. McCoy was born in Norfolk. He was the son of the late Roland B. and Annie Bear McCoy and the widower of Frances Barton McCoy. He was a special events manager for the Hoffman Beverage Co. Mr. McCoy was a member of Khedive Shrine Temple (Arab Patrol), Chesapeake Shrine Club, Great Bridge Masonic Lodge No. 257 and American Legion No. 280.

Survivors include his two sons and their wives, Roland L. and Sherry McCoy of Moyock, N.C., and Norman T. ``Tommy'' Jr. and Denise McCoy of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands; his sister, Dolly Keeley of Virginia Beach; and five grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. Masonic rites will be accorded at the grave. The family will receive friends in Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, from 7 to 9 p.m. today. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Legion Post 280, 469 N. Battlefield Blvd., Chesapeake, Va. 23320.
