CATHERINE KOCH

Catherine (Cathy) Koch, 75, of Holly Road, died Jan. 9, 1997.

She was a native of Jacksonville, Fla., but lived in Virginia Beach since 1964. She was active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Virginia Beach, where she has been teaching the Myrtice Parker Bible Class since 1978, and a member as well as a board member of the Women of the Church. She was also active and on the board of the Virginia Beach Christian Women's Club. She was a past member of the Birdneck Point Garden Club and had served as a board member of the Council of Gardens Clubs. She was a member of the Auxiliary of the Virginia Beach General Hospital.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Rudolph H. Koch; a son, Barry Randolph Koch; and two grandchildren, Catherine Norfleet Koch and Taylor Randolph Koch.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in First Presbyterian Church of Virginia Beach by Dr. J. Scottie Griffin and the Rev. Georgianna Brabban Johnson. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery. The family will greet friends in Stanton Hall immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are welcome to the First Presbyterian Church, Virginia Beach Foundation or the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
