A woman was robbed at gunpoint Thursday morning as she got out of her car in the parking lot at the Human Resources Building in the 400 block of Market St., across from police headquarters.
About three hours later, Michael L. Butler, 28, of the 300 block of Hill St., Suffolk, was arrested, police said. He was charged with robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, forgery, uttering and attempted grand larceny.
