Grover Cleveland Parker, 78, died Friday Jan. 10, 1997.
Mr. Parker was retired from the Northampton County Sheriff's Department and was a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Bracy Parker; his daughter, Bobbie P. Armstrong of Ahoskie; his son, W.E. ``Butch'' Parker of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; a granddaughter, Meredith Armstrong; two sisters, Mrs. Alverta Joyner of Rich Square, Mrs. Emma Bracy of Roxobel.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Roxobel-Kelford Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in Jackson Funeral Home, Jackson. Memorial contributions may be made to Kelford Baptist Church.
