Robert Lewis Morris, 72, died Jan. 8, 1997, in a local hospital.
Born in Pearisburg, Va., he was a retired plasterer and maintenance worker and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Viola S. Morris; a daughter, Saberina Scalmato of Virginia Beach; a son, Michael Lewis Morris of Chesapeake; four brothers, Theodore Morris, Charles H. Morris Jr., both of Salem, Va., William Morris of Pulaski, Va., Gene Morris of Radford, Va.; 13 grandchildren; and two step-daughters, Susan Penick, Kathy Foster, both of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Deep Creek United Methodist Church by the Rev. Bradford Phillips. Also a graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel.
