Harry L. House, 77, of the 300 block of Carver Circle died Jan. 9, 1997.
A retired employee of the Norfolk Naval Shipyard with 30 years service, Mr. House was a member of Calvary Evangelical Baptist Church and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy M. House; four daughters, Jackie Elliott, Minnie House, Dorothy Bowers and Tanya Vinson; eight sons, Harry, Donald, Winford, Jacob, Roosevelt, Paul, Simeon and David House; two sisters, Louise Wright and Mavoter Frazier; two brothers, James House Jr. and Wesley House; 19 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Calvary Evangelical Baptist Church by Pastor Allen R. McFarland. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The family will be at Fisher Funeral Home from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday.
