Edward Lorenzo Spivey, 62, died in his home Jan. 9, 1997.
He was the son of the late Luther Lorenzo Spivey and Cora Avis Spivey.
He was a native of Isle of Wight County and a graduate of the Windsor High School Class of 1952. He was a member and former Sunday school teacher of Colosse Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by two daughters, Denise Fournia of Colonial Heights and Ida Edens of Chester; as well as two granddaughters, Shawnia and Barbara Edens. He is survived by his sister, Marie S. White of Windsor; and three nephews, Jeryl E. White, Lud Lorenzo Spivey and Shelton Aubrey Spivey, all of Windsor.
Memorial donations may be sent to the Colosse Baptist Church Building Fund. A memorial service will be held at Colosse Baptist Church at 3 p.m. today.
