Hazel Green Junginger, 88, died Jan. 10, 1997, in a local hospital.
Former co-owner of John's Place Grocery Store, Mrs. Junginger was the widow of John Junginger and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a longtime resident of Sentara Village, Oak Grove Road, Chesapeake.
Survivors include two grandsons, Thomas M. Commander Jr. of Chesapeake and Curtis J. Commander of Chesapeake; two great-grandchildren, Curtis J. Commander Jr. and Melissa Ann Commander, both of Chesapeake; and a son-in-law, Thomas M. Commander Sr. of Chesapeake.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Leonard Hazelwood. The family will receive friends in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, from 4 to 5 p.m. today.
