John James Kane, 78, of the 900 block of Thousand Oaks Drive died Jan. 9, 1997.
A retired customer service representative for United Parcel Service with 44 years service, Mr. Kane was a native of Bronx, N.Y., and a Roman Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Hannah A. Kane; daughter, Patricia and her husband, Joseph Ciely, of Virginia Beach; sons, John J. and his wife, Joan Kane, Flushing, N.Y.; two grandchildren, April Kane and Joseph Ciely.
A funeral will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bayside, N.Y. Burial will be in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, N.Y. The body will be sent from Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, to Fredericks Funeral Home, Queens, N.Y., for services and burial.
