William E. ``Mutz'' Miller Jr., 64, went to be with the Lord Jan. 10, 1997, in a Chesapeake hospital.
A retired electronic technician at the Naval Air Rework Facility for 30 years, Mr. Miller was a Norfolk native and lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4809. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn S. Miller; three daughters, Shirleen Mills, Joyce Kirby and Susie Waugh; three sons, William E. Miller III, David ``Slick'' Copeland and Lynnwood ``Buddy'' Copeland; mother, Mary Estelle Ward; 11 grandchildren; special nieces, Norma Ann Bunch and Barbara Jean Elliott; a very special best friend, his dog, Daisey.
His 12th grandchild is expected in August. He was predeceased by his father, William E. Miller Sr. Mr. Miller was the stepson of the late Carl Ward.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by Pastor Dan L. Mulder of Ocean View Christian Reformed Church, Norfolk. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday.
