A 46-year-old man died in a hospital late Friday, just hours after he was struck by a vehicle while walking in the 1500 block of Effingham St.
Claude McGlothlin of the 700 block of Madison St. died at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital from his injuries.
The accident happened early Friday evening, although police released few details. No charges were filed against the driver, whose name was not released.
