The Grinch last year tried to steal the real joy of the holidays by destroying everything I own through fire. I would like to thank so many people who helped my family, and make people realize how serious it is to keep smoke detectors up-to-date and working.
I would like to thank Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for services on my child. Many thanks to the following agencies for their continued support: Red Cross (its director Mrs. Creecy), Salvation Army and Oasis. The loving support from Highland Biltmore Elementary School and the overwhelming support from my co-workers and staff at Virga's Pizza.
I took some things for granted in 1996 without really thanking the Lord. It took a fire to make me realize that there are some really good people. The love they have shown my family will never be forgotten.
I want the public to know that the agencies - Red Cross, Salvation Army, etc. - really help people in need, so please support the local one in your area.
