EVA H. PRIVOTT

Mrs. Eva Harrell Privott, 96, died Jan. 13, 1997, in Chowan Hospital.

Mrs. Privott was a native of Chowan County and the daughter of the late John and Emma Bass Harrell. She was the wife of the late George H. Privott. She was the owner and operator of the Tots and Teens Children's Shop.

Survivors include two sons, George H. Privott Jr. of Currituck and Mack H. Privott of Goldsboro; two daughters, Frances P. Wilkins of Edenton and Marjorie P. Taylor of Longwood, Fla.; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph R. Privott.

She was a member of the Edenton Baptist Church where a funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday by Dr. Kenneth Word and the Rev. Wayne Proctor. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends in Evans Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Edenton Baptist Church Youth Fund.
