Frank Edward Gatlin, 76, of the 100 block of Rodriguez Drive died Jan. 11, 1997, in Chesapeake.
Born in Princess Anne County, he was a member of Union Baptist Church, Virginia Beach.
Survivors include his daughter, Barthenia B. Askew of Chesapeake; four sisters, Louise Roberts, Bertha V. Knight, Rosa Gatlin and Annie Mae Miller, all of Virginia Beach; two brothers, James Gatlin of Maryland and Herbert Gatlin of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Karen L. Reddick, Christopher D. Reddick and Stephanie V. Middleton, all of Virginia Beach; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Cemetery, Virginia Beach. Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk, is in charge. Family and friends will assemble in 404 Damsel Court, Chesapeake, Thursday at 10 a.m. for a funeral procession to the church. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
