Do you have questions about the Rhinos pro hockey proposal? We'd like to get answers for you.
In the coming months, Hampton Roads city councils and county commissions will decide whether to chip in a total of $2.3 million a year as their share of a proposed $143 million arena for a possible pro hockey team, the Rhinos.
What's it to you?
In Norfolk, the Rhinos proposal comes on the heels of Nauticus, the riverfront tourist attraction that was supposed to pay for itself and isn't. Now taxpayers are picking up the tab.
In the case of the Rhinos and the proposed arena, the cities have tentatively banded together. If local city councils ultimately vote to make a more permanent commitment, they'll be committing your tax dollars.
You're the ultimate investors. What are your questions?
Send them to us, with your name, your city and your phone number. Let us know if you'd like to address your question to a specific official. The Virginian-Pilot will pick representative questions and put them to the dealmakers.
Then we'll publish their answers. We may even call you back to ask how well they answered you.
