In your Jan. 9 editorial, ``Time to rename it again,'' you advocate renaming Norfolk International Airport to reflect the more regional ``Hampton Roads'' moniker. Other Virginian-Pilot editorials have encouraged adoption of the Hampton Roads name by business, industry, tourism and public organizations in order to gain national recognition of our area.
Since your editorial discounts historical attachment to names such as the Norfolk Airport, I suggest you lead the push to sell this as a unified region by abandoning ``The Virginian-Pilot'' and embracing a name that better represents our dynamic community. ``The Hampton Roads Pilot'' would better communicate to our nation who we are, who you serve and what our potentional as a region can be.
