Rosa E. Person of the 2300 block of Piedmont Ave. died Jan. 14, 1997, in Maryview Medical Center.
A native of Boykins, Mrs. Person was the widow of Nathaniel H. Person Sr. and a former member of Fourth Baptist Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include her three daughters, Bessie May Person, Diane Humphries and Arleen London; four sons, Edward L. Person, Nathaniel L. Person Jr., Joseph Person Urquhart and Arthur W. Person; four sisters, Queenie Grant of Franklin, Naomi Ricks of Como, N.C., Jean Grant Ridley of Capron, Va., and Louise Hunt of Philadelphia; brother, Edward M. Grant of Greenville, N.C.; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, by the Rev. James King. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing at the funeral home will begin at noon today.
