Grady Collins Phelps, 88, of the 2000 block of Isabella Drive died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 1997, in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth.
He was a native of Bertie County, N.C., and retired from Tarmac Co.
Survivors include his brother, Herman S. Phelps of Windsor; nieces, Retha Dean Rhodes of Portsmouth, Mary Esther Jenkins of Chesapeake, Pansy White of Ahoskie, N.C., and Katherine Lee of Chuckatuck, Va.; nephews, Ray Phelps and Ross Phelps, both of Windsor, and Henry E. Evans of Portsmouth.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Walker Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Barry Jimmerson. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour before the service in the funeral home.
