Ida Dew King, 97, died Jan. 15, 1997, in DePaul Hospital.
A native of Portsmouth, Mrs. King was the widow of Joseph C. King and a member of Lafayette Presbyterian Church and the Widows of World War I.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Geraldine Butler. Survivors include a half-brother, Richard Dew of Portsmouth; and a half-sister, Estell Smith of Portsmouth; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Max G. Culler. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home an hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lafayette Presbyterian Church, 1821 Lafayette Blvd., Norfolk, Va. 23509.
