Balsim E. Elliott, 1 year old, of the 400 block of N. Witchduck Road died Jan. 13, 1997, in Sentara Bayside Hospital.
A Virginia Beach native, he was a member of East Coast Baptist Church, Virginia Beach.
Survivors include his parents, Vontichashea Smith and David Elliott, both of Virginia Beach; five aunts, Niqueshea Smith of Virginia Beach, Michelle Elliott, Wanda Elliott, Tonya Elliott and Christina Elliott, all of Roanoke; brother, Devou S. Day of Roanoke; grandparents, Donald Jones and Janette Jones, both of Virginia Beach; great-grandparents, Geraldine Daniels and Henry Daniels, both of Virginia Beach; two uncles, Donald Jones Jr. of Virginia Beach and Rick Elliott of Roanoke; godparents, Annette Spencer of Norfolk and Jessie Johnson of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in East Coast Baptist Church, Indian River Road, Virginia Beach, by Pastor Christopher Brown. Burial will be in Betty Jones Cemetery, Virginia Beach. Pretlow's Funeral Home, Norfolk, is in charge.
