I believe there are nine real elected representatives of the people - the nine Republicans who voted against Newt Gingrich to be speaker of the House.
What message does his election send to the American people? What values are we now accepting and teaching our children? Maybe, if you are a member of the political elite, you can do whatever you want and be rewarded for it.
Why would House members elect such a man? The only reason I can figure is they want a leader who can teach them a new skill set!
