Bravo for publishing Aleksander Solzhenitsyn's column in the Jan. 12 Commentary.
Unlike most columns in The Virginian-Pilot or The New York Times, ``Don't mistake this chaos for a democracy'' was written by a true intellectual, a man who may understand better than anyone else alive what has been happening in Russia for the past 50 years. His analysis of the current situation is intellegent and reveals a thoughtful view on the subject.
I would be greatly impressed to see more articles of this caliber included in the paper in the future. Commentary editor Dave Addis' own comments were also appreciated.
