Mary Schiliro Ackerman, 81, of the 1900 block of Robert Hall Blvd., died Jan. 17, 1997.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the widow of Charles E. Ackerman and a retired seamstress. She was Catholic.
Survivors include two sons, Harry P. Boyle of Philadelphia and Joseph F. Boyle of Chesapeake; a brother, Joseph Schiliro; three grandchildren, Chandra, Phillip and Denise; and two great-grandchildren, Jessica and Elizabeth.
A graveside service will held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Hampton National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
