Mary Highsmith Johnson, 96, a longtime resident of Norfolk, died Jan. 17, 1997, at the Masonic Home of Virginia in Richmond.
She was the daughter of the late Daniel E. and Willie Beard Edge.
She is survived by her niece, Pauline Quillin McConnehey of Portsmouth and several other nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. Arrangements are by Woody Funeral Home, Laburnum Chapel, Richmond.
