Catherine White Holland, 83, of the 2400 block of Effingham St., died Jan. 15, 1997, in her home.
Born in Norfolk, Mrs. Holland was a former licensed practical nurse and a former bookkeeper for Jackson Cleaners. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Portsmouth, and a former member of Brighton Light (NU)118, Order of the Eastern Star. She was the widow of Charles H. Holland.
Survivors include aunts; uncles; a great-nephew, E.G. ``Tip'' Corprew Jr.; cousins; in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Ben A. Beamer Sr. in Corprew Funeral Home Chapel, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing at the funeral home will begin at noon today. The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. today.
