Ella Twine Holley, 93, formerly a resident of the 2800 block of Woodlawn Ave., Norfolk, and of the 1300 block of Carrington Crescent, died Jan. 16, 1997.
Born in Tyner, N.C., she was the widow of John E. Holley and a member of Mason Memorial Church of God in Christ, Norfolk. She was church mother, deaconess and a member of the Sunday School. She was a licensed practical nurse, formerly employed by DePaul Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Vinnie Twine and Willie Twine.
Survivors include two daughters, Justine A. Holley of Norfolk, Winnie H. Morrow of Portsmouth; a sister, Irma Mosby of Philadelphia; a brother, Walter Twine of Tyner, N.C.; daughters-in-law, Delores W. Holley and Delores B. Holley; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sons, Marcellus Holley and John H. Holley.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in Mason Memorial Church of God in Christ, Norfolk, by Elder David Williams. Family and friends will assemble at 1316 Carrington Crescent, Portsmouth, at 11 a.m. for the procession to the church on Tuesday. Hale Funeral Home is in charge.
