Jesse Bryan Jackson Jr., 67, died Jan. 18, 1997.
Born in Portsmouth, he was a retired air conditioning and refrigeration mechanic for N.N.S.Y. with 23 years service. He was a member of Jackson Memorial Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah G. Jackson; a son, Jesse Bryan Jackson III of Virginia Beach; two daughters, Connie Harmon and Susan Parsons, both of Chesapeake; a brother, Joseph Blackwell Jackson of Newport News; a sister, Virginia Lee Tarkington of Chesapeake; two grandchildren, Jessica Harmon and Adam Parsons, both of Chesapeake.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. today to receive friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
